The Cultural Arts Division manages the City's Civic Arts Program and Public Art Program, supports arts education, and conducts research. The Cultural Arts Manager and their team are part of the City’s collaborative effort to deliver special events, services, and classes that serve our community. The Division operates and supports many visual and performing arts programs which installs and maintains more than 80 pieces of public art in Encinitas. This division plays a key role in enriching the Community and strengthening artistic bonds by integrating art into public spaces, supporting local artists, and creating meaningful cultural experiences.
Under general direction of the Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts, the Arts Program Manager is responsible for planning, directing, supervising, and coordinating the activities and operations of the Cultural Arts Division. As a key member of the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department’s management team, the incumbent plays a vital role in shaping and implementing a comprehensive, city-wide Cultural Arts program by assisting the Director with strategic planning, budgeting, and policy development related to cultural arts. The City of Encinitas is seeking a collaborative, forward-thinking professional as their Arts Program Manager. Candidates must have proven experience in arts administration, cultural programming, or related fields.
The annual salary range for the Arts Program Manager is $109,989-$170,629; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
