    Position Duties

    The Department of Transportation is currently seeking to fill one ( 1 ) vacant Senior Analyst position.     The Department of Transportation (DOT) is looking to fill a Senior Analyst position to supervise a small team which provides budget and analytical support as well as dispatch services to the department’s Infrastructure Maintenance (IM) Division. Reporting to the Administrative Officer, the Senior Analyst works closely with managers and other stakeholders to ensure that IM has the resources necessary to effectively deliver a variety of services to the community.

    Primary duties include :

    • L eading and managing a team of two Analysts, one Staff Specialist, and two Senior Office Specialists (both report to the Staff Specialist)


    • C oordinating elements of the Department’s $ 183M operating budget (expenditure/revenue tracking and budget development and management activities)


    • C oordinating procurement and contract management activities for IM


    • O verseeing the DOT Dispatch Center


    Minimum Qualifications

    Education: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university

    Experience: F our (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in general management/administrative analytic work in the areas of budget, finance, grant administration, organizational analysis, general administration, human resources, or a related field in general analytical work.

    Acceptable Substitutions: One (1) year of additional education above the Bachelor’s Degree level may be substituted for one (1) year of the required management/administrative analytic work.

    Certifications/Licenses: Possession of a valid State of California driver's license may be required for some assignments.
