    EXCITING OPPORTUNITY

    Are you looking for an opportunity to turn your love of pickleball into a job? Make a positive impact on our Los Altos community by joining our team as a Pickleball Recreation Leader. The City of Los Altos has a very active pickleball community and an ideal candidate should be fun, passionate, positive, and interested in helping facilitate a pickleball program.
    This position will be working at Egan City Gym on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:45pm to 10:00pm, however times may vary depending on attendance. Recreation Leaders also have the opportunity to work in other department areas as needed. This position is part-time, temporary working approximately 10-20 hours per week.

    Examples of Duties

    Management reserves the right to add, modify, change, or rescind the work assignments of different positions and to make reasonable accommodations so that qualified employees can perform the essential functions of the job.
    • Plan, organize and lead recreation programs.
    • Speak effectively in a public setting with adults and children.
    • Follow written and verbal instructions.
    • Function effectively in leadership roles.
    • Report problems or hazards which may occur with children, parents, or equipment to on-site supervisor or Recreation Coordinator.

    Minimum Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

    Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

    EXPERIENCE:
    • Recreation Leader II must be at least 18 years of age.
    • 1-2 years paid and/or volunteer experience working with children in recreation, outdoor education, sports and/or crafts preferred.
