Applications are being accepted at NationalTestingNetwork.com through September 13, 2024. The testing process will conclude with the 2025-2027 Entry Level Firefighter Eligibility List that is scheduled to be approved by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners in February, 2025.
Engages directly in fire fighting and fire prevention, and emergency medical service activities to protect and safeguard lives and property, and assists in maintenance and repair of fire stations and equipment; does related work as required.

The City of Champaign operates under the Council-Manager form of government. The City's legislative authority is vested in a nine-member Council consisting of the Mayor, three members elected from the City at-large, and five members elected from districts.
