Full Time Employee Benefits:
Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance: Employees will receive a monthly benefit of up to $1,500 for City provided medical, dental, and vision insurance. Current Insurance Carriers are UHC PPO/HMO, Kaiser HMO, MetLife Dental & Vision.
Employees who enroll in employee-only medical, dental and vision coverage will receive a monthly contribution of $75.00 into a Retiree Health Savings account; employees who opt out of medical, dental and vision coverage under the City’s health plans will receive a monthly contribution of $175.00 into a Retiree Health Savings account.
Retiree Health Savings Plan (RHS): The City will contribute $175 per month into a Retiree Health Savings Plan. There is a five year vesting period for benefits under the Retiree Health Savings Plan.
Short Term Disability Insurance: The City participates in the CA State Disability insurance (SDI) Program that is employee paid and a supplemental short-term disability plan that is City paid. Coverage is 70% of base pay.
Long Term Disability Insurance: The City pays 100% of the premium. Coverage is 60% of base pay.
Life Insurance: The City pays 100% of the premium. Coverage is $100,000 or 1x annual salary up to $225,000 max, whichever is greater.
Voluntary Product Offerings: Accident & Critical Illness Insurance; Additional Life Insurance; Flexible Spending Account(s). These offerings are employee paid.
CalPERS Long Term Care Program: The City pays up to $90 per month of the premium.
