What You'll Be DoingThe
Physician provides health care to patients in the Wake County Health and Human Services Clinics. This will include Regional Centers and the Public Health Center in Raleigh.
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to: - Screen, diagnose and treat patients
- Document all care in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Provide preventive care, child health, family planning and prenatal care, STD testing and treatment and acute illness management
- Provide support services to the mental health teams as needed for continuity of client care
- Perform procedures as indicated
- Supervise Advanced Practice Practitioners NC Medical and Nursing Board guidelines
- On call duties: Provide backup call to the nurse triage line on a rotating basis with other providers
Physician does not provide in person care after clinic hours.

The Basics (Required Education and Experience) - Doctorate in Medicine
- Three years of experience and must have completed appropriate residency
- NC Medical Board licensure
- Medical license/certification in specialist field
- DEA registration
- Hospital credentialing or eligibility
- Equivalent education and experience are NOT accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) - Over one year experience as a FNP or PA specializing in OB/GYN and/or pediatrics
- Active license in the state of North Carolina as a Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant
