City Manager -- Paris, TX

Paris is seeking a City Manager to oversee the effective, efficient, and responsive administration of city services, drive economic development, and ensure that all city programs and operations align with the goals established by the City Council.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in public administration, engineering, business administration, finance, marketing, or a closely related field, and a minimum of ten (10) years related professional experience in a comparable or larger organization as a Director, Assistant City Manager or comparable leadership role. A master’s degree in public administration, and Certification as a Credentialed Manager by the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) preferred but not required.

The City of Paris offers a market-competitive total rewards package, which includes a base salary range of $165,000 - $185,000. The City will negotiate a vehicle allowance, employment agreement and relocation assistance with the successful candidate. Additionally, the city offers an outstanding medical, dental, vision and life insurance package, and participation in the Texas Municipal Retirement System. According to the City Charter, the City Manager must reside within the corporate limits of the city within six months of employment.
