Salary Range: $22.52-$33.78/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.

Responsibilities

The City of Kansas city's Education and Development team is looking for a dedicated and engaging new addition to our team as we reach our fellow coworkers and deliver content that encourages our staff to grow and succeed as employees of the City of Kansas City. As an adult learning professional on our team, you will be tasked with delivering engaging training sessions and assist or lead in the development of training content, to enhance the professional development skills of our adult learners. In this role, some of your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering engaging interactive training sessions utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and technologies, both in person and virtually;
  • Assisting in the collaboration process as work with different groups to create content that meets the objectives of the organization;
  • Adapting and updating current training materials and delivery approaches to meet the diverse needs of our adult learners;
  • Incorporating feedback from participants and analyzing data from a variety of sources to improve our development programs
  • Assisting in the administration of our leaning management system to succeed in achieving organizational learning goals.



Qualifications

REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree. Preference given for experience in facilitating and presenting content in person and on virtual platforms and who demonstrates a desire to enhance their content development skill. Will be asked to present a brief custom learning experience as part of the interview process.

The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
