    Essential Job Functions

    • Facilitates communication for the facility by addressing customer inquiries, suggestions, and complaints. Greets customers, answers phone calls, assists with program registration, and reports suggestions and complaints to the supervisor.

    • Manages transactions and closes the cash register by accepting payments, issuing receipts, and accurately recording received money. Ensures correct customer charges by staying informed about all program times and prices. Responsible for counting daily revenue, organizing petty cash, and securely depositing money into the safe.

    • Oversees facility operations by supervising hallways, distributing equipment, directing customers to appropriate locations, and promoting programs to patrons. Responsible for record-keeping tasks, including daily program updates, and overseeing the distribution of various documents such as registration forms, rosters, and other pertinent paperwork.

    • Ensures the cleanliness and organization of facility interiors by managing office area, organizing storage spaces and performing cleaning tasks.

    • All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager within your department/division.

    • Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality for the assigned work hours is essential.


    Minimum Qualifications

    Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may qualify. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:

    • Education: Work requires the ability to read and understand written instructions, to understand simple processes and the routine operation of machines. Level of knowledge equivalent to less than high school or equivalency.

    • Experience: Preferred but not required.

    • Licenses: Valid Driver's License preferred.

    • Certifications : CPR/First Aide Certification, training upon hire.


    For city employees who are regular part time (10-19 hours per week) or seasonal hired placed on City payroll, the following benefits are provided:
    • PARS - Public Agency Retirement System: the employee contributes 6.2% each paycheck to this retirement system and the city provides 1.3%. The employee does not pay into Social Security. All of the employees contributions may be withdrawn upon separating service from the city. The City's contributions will not be paid unless the employee retires under the system.
    • Part time or seasonal employees are not eligible for any paid leave or other benefits.
    • Part time or seasonal employees are limited to working only 1,000 hours per 12-month period, unless the seasonal is project based for a specific period of time which is typically less than 12-months.
