    Summary

    Maintains grounds, highways, municipal and rural roads, and rights-of-way by performing the following duties under the supervision of the Senior Code Officer. Performing certain code compliance inspection duties.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Walks and/or drives vehicles to assigned route and picks up litter and debris.


    • Maintains the City right-of-way by removing litter and illegally dumped items.


    • Regularly monitors areas known for illegal dumping.


    • Drives truck and trailer to transport illegal dumping and equipment to worksite.


    • Removes debris caused from extreme weather conditions.


    • Appropriately Disposes of litter and debris.


    • Interacts with citizens and employees regarding problems/concerns and reports feedback to supervisor.


    • Performs additional general maintenance or grounds keeping activities as assigned.


    • Performs other duties as assigned or required.


    • Performs a variety of code compliance inspections including residential, commercial and industrial property and drive to and from destinations assigned by supervisor.
    • Removes illegal signs.

    This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Education and/or Experience

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Valid State Class A (CDL) Driver’s License; Driving is a requirement of this position.
