  • Job Description

    Higginsville Habilitation Center is recruiting for a two (2) Registered Behavior Technician, to be a part of the Behavioral Team. The Behavioral Team makes a difference in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. HHC is a state operated program within the Department of Mental Health and supports individuals receiving 24/7 services.

    The Registered Behavior Technicians must be detailed orientated, work well with others, have good time management skills, possess leadership skills, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be proficient with Microsoft Excel and other computer programs.

    Will be responsible for collecting data by observing client behavior and/or administering standardized intelligence and/or personality tests. Will enter observational data into assessment systems for summarization and analysis, participate in reliability and coding checks, interview clients and prepare summaries of test results.

    Preferred knowledge of various types of intelligence and personality tests and assessments, testing procedures used, and treatment theories relating to clients with behavioral problems. Ability to complete a basic course of instruction in behavioral observation and testing, and accurately report and record observations.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Must have a High School Diploma/GED and become a Registered Behavioral Technician. Please review qualification to become an RBT at https://www.bacb.com/rbt/ Must be an RBT within six (6) months of hire/placement.

    Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
