    The Position

    Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.

    Under general direction, incumbents train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of subordinate staff and may serve as project leaders with responsibility for defining and managing the project scope and objectives. Non-supervisory positions allocated at this level receive minimal or no technical supervision within their department.

    The Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS) is seeking a Business Process Analyst III to join our Project Management Office Project Delivery Team. This position will serve as a Project Manager to manage multiple large DWSS software projects. Prepare strategic planning documents like Advance Planning Documents and assist in developing DWSS teams with Requests for Proposals. The incumbent will facilitate software development, prepare, and schedule project meetings and plans. Manage all projects with the project web application and Microsoft project. The incumbent will support the portfolio team and Project Deliver team on Cost allocation efforts, advance planning documentation submissions and technical project.     To Qualify:

    In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
    Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and three years of progressively responsible professional experience in a related program area analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included two years of experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR one year of experience as a Business Process Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Special Requirements A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting. A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment. The Examination Application Evaluation Exam The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview.     The presence of Nevada's earliest inhabitants, beginning about 12,400 years ago, is marked by many petroglyphs and archaeological sites. Baskets, decoys, and ingenious traps are evidence of the resourcefulness of these early people in a harsh and arid environment.

On October 31, 1864, President Lincoln proclaimed Nevada's admission to the Union as the 36th state. The State's first elected Governor, Henry Blasdel, took office on December 5, 1864.

    Today, Nevada is the nation's seventh largest state in land area. Several hundred mountain ranges cross its landscape, many with elevations over 10,000 feet. In contrast, the State's lowest point (along the Colorado River) is only 470 feet above sea level. From majestic mountains to desert valleys, nature has endowed Nevada with diverse and unique ecosystems.
