The Seamstress position at Fulton State hospital is a PRN position. This position allows for flexible scheduling which is not to exceed 20 hours each week. It is preferred that the 20 hours are scheduled within the standard business week of Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

- This is a basic seamstress position responsible for:
- Basic mending, to include re-stitching seams; basic alterations such as making tucks in waist bands to make the garment smaller; hemming; replacing elastic; patching holes; attaching buttons or belt loops; replacing zippers.
- Basic repairs to window curtains and shower curtains in client living areas.
- Additionally, it will be necessary to communicate with treatment program staff, such as the case manager, when an item cannot be mended and/or the item must be sent out for repairs.
- A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the mission, vision and values of both Fulton State Hospital and the Department of Mental Health.
- This is a basic seamstress position responsible for:
Minimum Qualifications- Basic knowledge of sewing and the use of a sewing machine
Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
