MGT is pleased to partner with the City of Orlando (pop. 325,044) to recruit their new Water Reclamation Division Manager. The division is renowned for excellence, as demonstrated through exceptional customer service, investment in team members, continuous process improvement, and financial stability. The Division Director is a key member of the City’s executive leadership team that ensures alignment of public utility goals and vision with the Strategic Plan and leads the Water Reclamation Division by managing the design, operation, control, and maintenance of three advanced biological nutrient removal facilities. The division manager has two primary operational goals –provide engineering expertise and operations management and performs expert engineering and administration in planning, designing, and constructing the entire water reclamation system and oversees an annual divisional operating budget of $140M and the Water Reclamation Enterprise Fund of approximately $126M.
The Water Reclamation Division has a team of 280 and this position directly manages 5 positions – two Assistant Division Managers, Business Manager and Senior Administrative Assistant. The position reports to the Public Works Director. Please review the position brochure for additional information on the position and expectations of the new Division Manager. The division collects and treats approximately 45 million gallons per day of wastewater through an extensive network of 230 lift stations, 200 miles of force mains, and 1,000 miles of gravity collection lines. The treated (or reclaimed) water is then used for a variety of beneficial uses, such as irrigation. The division meets all state and federal standards for the processing and reclamation of sanitary sewage and biosolids handling and disposal.
