    Job Overview

    Under general direction of the Director of Success Coaching, the Student Success Coach provides retention services to First Year Freshman by providing outreach and success coaching services. The Success Coach serves as the lead for their assigned student caseload and will extend personalized retention strategies via academic, financial and personal development. The Success Coach assesses student needs using instruments and personal interview techniques and may represent the Office of Success Coaching on work groups, committees and activities within and outside the division.

    Position Summary

    Success Coach (Student Services Professional II)

    This is a full-time, temporary, exempt position ending on or before two years from date of hire. Reappointment to this position is dependent upon the individual's performance as well as administrative and budgetary considerations. The university reserves the right to terminate this appointment earlier than the scheduled expiration date.

    Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule

    Anticipated Hiring Salary Amount: $4,841 per month

    CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,841 - $6,884 per month

    Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.

    This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 14 paid holidays are offered each year; 13 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.

    This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
