    Salary: $78,092 annually

    General Description and Classification Standards

    Provides direct supervision of Fleet Maintenance Operations for the Atlanta Police Department. Assists in planning, directing, and coordinating the vehicle and equipment maintenance program.

    Responsibilities include managing and supervising the fleet, overseeing staff, and ensuring vehicle and equipment maintenance. This role also involves implementing preventative maintenance programs, developing long-range plans, and determining compliance with current directives related to planning and programming.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education and Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline (Equivalent professional experience may be considered as a substitute for the required degree on an exception basis).
    • 5 to 8 years of experience in equipment and maintenance management, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
    • Master Technician certification from Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

    Licensures and Certifications
    • Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License.
    • ASE certification in the Automotive/Fleet Management field is required.
    • Fleet Manager certification through the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is desired.
