    Job Announcement

    The City of Chandler Communications and Public Affairs Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Digital Media Specialist- City Photographer. This position is a temporary, part-time, non-benefited and serves at the discretion of the department director. This position is scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week on a flexible schedule.

    Equipment/Software will be provided:
    Equipment: Canon EOS R5, Canon 5D Mark IV, HP Workstation
    Software: Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop
    A city vehicle will be provided for transportation from the video production office to the shoot location.

    Who we are
    This position is housed in the Video Division within the City of Chandler's Communications and Public Affairs Department. The Digital Media Division is committed to connecting the community and the city; learning about everything Chandler has to offer through the diverse experiences, voices and photos of our Chandler community. Our storytelling method strives to create positive, informative, entertaining and impactful experience for our viewers. We endeavor to stay competitive and grow with the ever changing technologies.

    Who we are looking for
    The primary function of the City Photographer is to take photographs at city events, of city employees at work, Chandler businesses and of residents experiencing everyday life in Chandler. We are looking for a well-rounded and creative photographer that can capture the essence of life in Chandler through a lens.

    Minimum Qualifications
    • High school diploma or GED; and
    • Six (6) months of experience with digital media photography; or
    • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
