    Two full-time positions available with the Health Department, Behavioral Health & Injury Prevention Divison located at 2400 Troost Ave
    Salary Range: $4,619-$6,928/month
    Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversees the administration, negotiation, and management of contracts within the Behavioral Health and Injury prevention Division.
    • Works with the Project Administrator and other Division staff to ensure all contracts comply with applicable legal requirements, regulations, and organizational policies.
    • Coordinates between various departments to provide guidance and support throughout the contract life cycle, from initial drafting to final execution and renewal.
    • Administers contracts in accordance with City, State, and Federal regulations and procedures.
    • Ensures all contracts awarded by the Behavioral Health and Injury Prevention Division adhere to the proper procurement procedures.
    • Monitors and reconciles all invoices for standing contracts on a monthly basis.
    • Works with contract awardees to develop compliance reporting forms for all contract requirements.
    • Assists in preparing resolutions for presentation to the City Council in cooperation with department heads and other requesting parties for all contracts over $400,000.
    • Works directly with supervisors to produce contracts and supporting documents for approval and execution by the appropriate contract awardee.
    • Creates and maintains records of executed contracts and related documents.
    • Supports supervisors in meeting contract compliance obligations and responding to an internal or external audits.
    • Identifies, analyzes, and summarizes any potential gaps in scopes of work, ensuring that contracts are consistent with the interests of the Behavioral Health and Injury Prevention Division.
    • Conducts complex contract negotiations with third-party customers.
    • Performs other duties as required.



    Qualifications

    REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional experience in business or public sector administration to include at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience with at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs.

    Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.

    The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
    For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
    Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.

    If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
