    The Job

    Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is looking for an Epic Manager - RN who provides solutions, manages multiple highly complex projects, and financial resources within an operational service line to meet business needs and security requirements . The Epic Manager-RN will be responsible for the daily activities of small and large teams engaged in the installation and maintenance of one or more Epic Modules, using data, information and knowledge to both improve the delivery of healthcare services and improve patient outcomes. The emphasis is placed on the classification’s critical nursing leadership role and planning; organizing and leading staff in the integration of informatics and healthcare information technology into the workplace to inform decision making and provide patients with efficient, safe and innovative care.

    ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER


    Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a physical, background investigation, and verification of employment history, certifications, and education.

    Training & Travel: Applicants must be able to sit in a training room for up to eight (8) hours a day. Applicant may need to travel to Verona, Wisconsin by airplane for training on an as needed basis. Travel expenses will be paid for by San Bernardino County.

    License: A valid California Class C Real ID/driver license, Passport or Military ID and proof of automobile liability insurance is required at time of hire. Must possess and maintain a Registered Nurse license with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.

    On-Call: Incumbents may be placed "On-Call" for nights,weekends and holidays depending on the certified module.

    Epic Certification: Incumbent must obtain Epic certification in every assigned module within 90 days of hire. The Clinical Informatics Department in collaboration with the Epic implementation executive team will reserve its right to extend beyond 90 days if the core training class schedule falls outside the 90-day hiring period. If certification is not obtained after 90 days of hire or the dedicated extended time allowance, the incumbent’s employment will be terminated.

    Minimum Requirements

    Candidates must meet both the following Licensure and Experience requirements:

    License: Must possess and maintain a Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered.

    Experience:
    • Four (4) years as an RN Epic Project Manager/Supervisor for an acute care hospital providing user support or implementation.
      -AND-
    • Two (2) years of Registered Nurse experience working in an acute care hospital, a large healthcare organization, or in an Ambulatory Care setting.


    Desired Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will have five (5) or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse with experience managing nurse professionals on an Epic implementation team. An Epic certification is highly desirable.
