This position is with the Office of Administration Division of Facilities Management, Design, and Construction (OA-FMDC) supporting the Operations Team. What you’ll do: - Prioritize excellent customer service for wide and diverse network of internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to internal teams, state agencies, state officials, contractors, and the public.
- Completing skilled work within one or more specialized trade areas.
- Apply trade-specific knowledge to troubleshooting, repair and remediation tasks.
- Perform work relating but not limited to electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); electronics; carpentry; concrete and masonry; welding; plumbing; and/or painting.
- Heavy lifting, manual labor, and operating machinery and heavy equipment per project needs.
- Follow all OA-FMDC health and safety protocols in addition to OSHA standards.
All you need for success: - Ability to communicate, collaborate and lead with integrity in a manner that inspires trust and builds positive rapport with a diverse group of stakeholders and the public.
- 4-6 years of on-the-job training in a trade area.
- Ability to manage numerous time-sensitive projects independently or as part of a team using procedures, processes, regulations, and practices applicable to a specialized trade.
- Considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of all trade areas.
- Experience operating and maintaining various equipment and tools.
- Ability to discern skill set needed for projects and whether it can be completed in-house or by a contractor.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license from Missouri or from an adjacent state if you reside outside of Missouri.

*This position is physically demanding. Examples of job duties may include prolonged periods of walking/standing/sitting/bending/driving, climbing ladders, ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, working in inclement weather and working on uneven or elevated surfaces. Please note, this position is considered a “Category 2” under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), meaning the incumbent will be compensated for overtime (hours actually worked over forty hours in a workweek) at the rate of time and one-half.
