    Duties Description

    Under the supervision of the Park Supervisor 1, SG-11 or other higher-level staff, the selected candidate will be expected to perform the following visitors’ services and operations duties:
    • Greet and engage with the public in person and on the phone.
    • Provide guided tours of Lorenzo State Historic Site house and grounds.
    • Provide customer service in the Gift Shop, and serve as cashier for ticket and shop sales.
    • Assist with opening/closing duties, including cash accounting.
    • Assist with general cleaning of the historic house and public spaces.
    • Assist in operation of special events and programs.
    • Assist with special projects related to historic research and general business operations.
    • Other job duties as assigned.

    OPERATIONAL NEED:
    • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
    • Must be available to work weekends and holidays

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Demonstrate a strong interest in local and regional history.
    • Public presentation experience is strongly preferred.
    • Experience working in a museum setting.
    • Microsoft Office experience including Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and Access.
