    Job Summary

    Salary : $17.00

    The Information Center Coordinator position is an exciting position that requires excellent communication skills, capability to effectively interface with the public and drive to provide high-quality customer service to visitors. Knowledge and background of Downtown Orlando is required to performing successfully in this role.

    Responsibilities:
    • Perform visitor-information and reception services that include greeting and serving the public at the front counter and on the telephone and responding to written requests via email for information.
    • Respond to general inquiries regarding Downtown Orlando information such as events, dining, entertainment, lodging, services, etc.
    • Visit Downtown attractions, merchants, major employers, and government agencies to maintain consistent supply of visitor- and local-area information/publications to be displayed in the information kiosks.
    • Maintain interior displays and information kiosks with a variety of Downtown Orlando Information.
    • Assemble and deliver “Welcome Kits” to new businesses.
    • Provide light maintenance assistance such as arranging tables, chairs, etc. for special events.
    • Monitor Information Center Visitor Log.
    • Help maintain a clean, safe, neat, comfortable, and welcoming environment for visitors.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Information Center Manager.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    Two (2) years’ experience performing administrative work such as office management, customer service, or public relations work required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to lift and deliver heavy boxes up to 40 pounds. Must be able to walk up to 4 miles outdoors year-round. Must be comfortable and able to climb a ladder. Must be able to work evenings and weekends for special events. Proficiency in Word and Excel is strongly preferred. Spanish speaking is a plus.

    THIS IS A PART_TIME_POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
