This position will be located atthe Southwest Regional Office, 2040 West Woodland, Springfield, MO 65807.
- Schedule and conduct inspections and environmental sampling of NPDES permitted facilities in accordance with the department’s Standard Operating Procedures and the department’s Procedures for Assistance, Compliance, and Enforcement Manual.
- Review, process and issue general National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) operating permits and provide technical/compliance assistance relating to NPDES permitting.
- Provide compliance assistance to regulated entities, including coordinating with other state, federal, and local agencies.
- Respond to environmental concerns, environmental emergencies, and other special requests.

- Ability to conduct site inspection over uneven and rough terrain while carrying up to 50 pounds.
- A valid Missouri State Driver’s License
Equivalent to those typically gained by:
- A bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, physical sciences, or a closely related field, and 0 - 4 or more years of relevant experience.
