    JOB SUMMARY
    The Manager - Business Analytics is responsible for the development and management of Customer Service performance metrics and operational analytics that will translate raw data into valuable business insights. This position will lead a team in completing a variety of analytical techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to complex data mining.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Understands business needs and objectives.
    • Develops strategies for effective data analysis and reporting.
    • Defines department-wide metrics and relevant data sources.
    • Selects, configures and implements analytic solutions.
    • Leads and develops a team of data analysts.
    • Oversees all analytics operations to correct discrepancies and ensure quality.
    • Relies on extensive experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    DECISION MAKING
    • Works under limited supervision.
    • Supervises assigned staff.


    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management, or a related field from an institution accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
    • Five (5) years of work experience in data analysis and reporting.
    • Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's license.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management, or a related field from an institution accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
    • Three (3) or more years of relevant industry experience.
    • Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience.


    JOB DIMENSIONS
    • Advanced working knowledge of Excel, SQL and business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau).
    • Ability to develop and maintain contact with internal and external customers.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
    • Strong logical reasoning skills and business acumen.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
    Physical requirements include lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally. Subject to sitting, standing and walking for long periods of time. Requires visual acuity, speech and hearing. Working conditions are primarily in an office environment with occasional field visits.

    May be required to work hours other than regular schedule such as nights and weekends.
