    The Job

    Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for an Admissions Registered Nurse* to expedite admissions and discharges throughout the hospital and clinics in order to assist with efficient and appropriate use of hospital resources and facilitate an excellent patient experience. Registered Nurses II at ARMC practice at a high-level of professional autonomy in a fast-paced teaching environment. Typical duties include assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing patient care in accordance with accepted standards of practice and organizational policy, as well as administering medications and treatments, performing documentation, and educating patients and families on their healthcare options.

    The current vacancy is for Night Shift: 6:00PM - 6:30AM. The resulting eligible list may be used to fill additional vacancies as they occur.

    ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

    Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.     CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Background : Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, drug test, verification of employment history and education.

    Availability: Twenty-four (24) hour responsibility, on-call and call-back may be required.

    Certifications: RN license, and Basic Life Support, and depending on the area of assignment, additional certification(s) may be required and must be maintained throughout employment. Admissions Registered Nurses must obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification and Management of Assaultive Behavior Certification (issued by ARMC) within six (6) months of hire.

    Minimum Requirements

    Candidates must possess all of the following:

    License:
    Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.

    Experience: One (1) year of full-time experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.

    Certification: Must possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and certifications/courses required by specialty assignment.

    Desired Qualifications

    Candidates possessing the following are desired:
    • Experience in an Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit as a licensed Registered Nurse
    • Over one (1) year of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
