We provide leadership in planning, integrating, and implementing HR services to staff and applicants statewide. What you will do: - Coordinate timekeeping activities for approximately 700 employees, review leave balances/entries for accuracy and review compensatory time for compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
- Coordinate reconciliation of the timekeeping system before payroll runs twice a month.
- Provide day-to-day assistance to staff and applicants regarding compensation, payroll, benefits, and time and leave.
- Enter employee information into the state’s payroll system (SAM II), including contact information, salary, deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Work with employees and the Office of Administration to correct payroll errors.
- Coordinate new employee paperwork and disseminate information regarding employee benefits.
- Support the recruitment interview process and review applicant qualifications in HireTrue.
- Process employee Workers’ Compensation paperwork and assist with DOLIR Unemployment claims.
- Review Position Description Questionnaires, ensuring proper completion and giving guidance where needed.
All you need for success:Qualifications - 3 years of experience in Human Resources OR a Bachelor’s degree

Desired Attributes - Working knowledge of human resources administration principles and practices, including methods and techniques for position classification, compensation, recruitment, and selection.
- Proficiency with the state’s HR/payroll system (SAM II) is preferred but not required.
