    Senior Application Developer

    RESTRICTED TO PERMANENT EMPLOYEES OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES

    **THIS IS NOT A CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION. **

    The Internal Services Department (ISD), Information Technology Services (ITS) is currently seeking a Senior Application Developer to fill a vacancy in Cyber Governance Division. This position will function as a GRC Assessment Analyst and will be responsible for the risk assessment process, methodology/templates and performing risk assessments. This position will help identify and update the security controls and requirements that will be reviewed as part of the assessment. They will determine the acceptable evidence and artifacts to be collected, the location of where these will be stored and how often reassessments will need to be performed. This position will be responsible for generating a report summarizing the findings from the assessment and sharing them with relevant members. This position will be responsible for sharing the information with the GRC Remediation role to ensure that the identified risks are entered into the risk register. This position will provide an update on the status of ongoing assessments and escalate any issues identified during the assessment.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Responsible for determining the scope of the assessment.
    • Works with the business and technical contacts to understand and obtain information on the assessment.
    • Reviews artifacts and validates responses provided.
    • Drafts assessment reports and shares findings with stakeholders.
    • Shares metric and findings with stakeholders.
    • Assigns tasks to remediation analyst.

This worksite is on a 5/40 schedule with 2 days of Teleworking (note: this is the current ISD policy but would change to follow any ISD or unit requirements).
