What Is This Job All About? As a Human Resources Technician, I/II, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department in various administrative functions. Supervision & Examples of DutiesReceives general supervision from Analyst staff and the Principal HR Analyst.
Does not supervise staff. May act as lead to HR Assistant on various technical items.
Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Any Combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
HR Technician I: - Two (2) years of experience in human resources, payroll, accounting, fiscal recordkeeping or a closely related field.
- High school diploma or GED certificate. Business related coursework is preferred.
- Human Resources professional certification desired.
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
HR Technician II: - Two (2) years of proficient experience in a Colusa County HR Technician I role or equivalent experience.
- High school diploma or GED certificate. Business related coursework is preferred.
- Human Resources professional certification desired.
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
Supplemental Information Based on a 37.5 work week Human Resource Technician I: $3,739 - $6,139
Human Resource Technician II: $4,129 - $6,777 Plus 4% confidential pay that is not included in the stated salary. The salary range above consists of 15 steps. Steps 1-6 are annual merit steps with approximately 5% difference between each step, based on successful performance. Steps 7-15 are additional merit steps, requiring 2 years of satisfactory performance at the previous step. Steps 7-14 provide 2.5% increases, while Step 15 offers a 5% increase. The final salary offered will depend on the applicant's experience and qualifications, ranging from steps 1 to 15.
