    Job Overview

    Under general direction of the Associate Dean of Extended Learning and the Aspiring Scholars Program Director, the incumbent will assist with the program planning, development and coordination of the Aspiring Scholars Program. The Coordinator provides direct student support by providing tutoring, advising and guidance to program participants. Provides lead direction and training to Peer Mentors.

    Position Summary

    Aspiring Scholars Program Coordinator (Student Services Professional II)

    This is a part-time, temporary, non-exempt position ending on or before one year from date hire. Reappointment to this position is dependent upon the individual's performance as well as administrative and budgetary considerations. The university reserves the right to terminate this appointment earlier than the scheduled expiration date.

    Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule

    Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $2,541.50 - $2,600.00 per month

    CSU Classification Salary Range (part-time equivalent): $2,541.50 - $3,614.00 per month

    Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.

    This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 14 paid holidays are offered each year; 13 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.

    This position is required to work in person on campus.
