Job Summary Salary: $17.00 Hourly Performs responsible public contact work involving enforcing park rules and regulations to ensure that City of Orlando parks are clean and safe. Provides routine information to tourists and the general public. Patrols park and performs frequent inspection to ensure vandalism and safety hazards are prevented. Prepares daily reports on park conditions, repairs, park attendance, and incidences involving accidents or injury. Work is performed primarily outdoors, and the employee may be subject to extreme weather conditions and insects. Work involves nearly constant walking, bike riding, and patrolling of City of Orlando parks. The employee is required to work rotating hours and have varying days off. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Lake Eola Park Manager.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and two (2) years' experience in public contact work, preferably involving security
required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License
required.
THIS IS A PART_TIME_POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED. If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
