    The Position

    Casework Management Specialists provide case management services for children, vulnerable and/or older adults, and their respective families and may be assigned to one of many specialized programs and/or facilities where duties may be performed in the home and/or any similar residential setting.

    Incumbents receive training in performing the duties outlined in the series concept.

    The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is recruiting for a Casework Management Specialist 1 (CMS1) underfilling for a Casework Management Specialist 3 in the Pahrump Child Welfare office. Incumbent provides child welfare services to children and families to develop and implement a case plan that presents intervention strategies to meet the child's needs. They will ensure children have their medical, mental health and educational needs met. The CMS1 provides strength-based family centered case management services to families that promote the safety and well-being of children including home visits, monitoring services, report preparation and record keeping.     To Qualify:

    In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
    Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, special education, human growth and development, criminal justice, psychology, counseling, social work, sociology, gerontology, or closely related social science or human services related field. Special Requirements Positions require a valid driver's license, or equivalent mobility, at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI background check, at the cost of the applicant. The Examination Application Evaluation Exam The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. In contrast, the State's lowest point (along the Colorado River) is only 470 feet above sea level. From majestic mountains to desert valleys, nature has endowed Nevada with diverse and unique ecosystems.
