    What You'll Be Doing

    Are you detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment? Join #TeamWake as a Records Management Technician and play a crucial role in supporting all aspects of consumer record operations for our Public Health programs. In this role, you'll handle comprehensive record management, including scanning and importing data into electronic case management records, accurately identifying and interpreting key data elements, and creating new case management records as assigned. You'll work closely with various teams to ensure seamless record support for Public Health programs.

    The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, enjoys being a team player, and can easily multi-task in a fast-paced setting.

    Key Responsibilities include:
    • Organizes and manages client case management data in digital and hard copy formats
    • Ensures the quality, accuracy, accessibility and maintains security of this critical documentation
    • Professionally and confidentially discusses and clarifies case management data and information with case managers, supervisors, and program managers
    • Maintains the paper records and file room and maintains all records (electronic and paper) in a secure and controlled environment
    • Indexes documents from the Document Control Center (DCC) and Client Self -Service kiosk
    • Performs record related functions throughout the life cycle of a record
    • Possess the knowledge base for Consumer Records storage and retrieval for Wake County Health and Human Services Records
    • Serve as the point of contact, preparing copies for, and delivery of Subpoenas and Court Order Requests for Information

    The Basics (Required Education and Experience)

    • High school diploma or GED
    • One year of job-related experience
    • Equivalent education and experience are accepted

    Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)

    • At least 1 year of experience working with Electronic Health Records or an Electronic Medical Record System
    • 1 year or more experience working in a health care setting
    • Experience working in Public Health
    • Strong understanding/knowledge of and demonstrated experience of HIPPA
    • Certified Electronic Health Record Specialist certification (CHERS)

    Hiring Range: 24.37-26.51

    Market Range: 24.37 - 28.65

    Emergency Service Worker Statement
