STATE OF THE STATE ADDRESS
The State of Nevada, encompassing over
110,000 square miles, is a land of vast natural
beauty, economic diversity, and cultural
vibrancy. Known as the "Silver State" for its
historic mining legacy, Nevada today is equally
recognized for its dynamic cities, rugged
outdoor landscapes, and spirit of independence.
Anchored by metropolitan hubs like Las Vegas

The Silver State Health Insurance Exchange is the state agency
that operates the on line Marketplace known as Nevada
Health Link where eligible Nevada consumers can shop for,
compare, and purchase quality and affordable health insurance
plans with ease. The Exchange facilitates and connects eligible
Nevadans who are not insured by their employer, Medicaid, or
Medicare to health insurance options. Individuals can
purchase ACA certified Qualified Health Plans through the
Exchange and if eligible, can receive subsidy assistance to help
offset their monthly premiums and out-of-pocket costs. An
intuitive web page will guide consumers through the
application process with a number of useful tools including
plan and rate comparison tools, prescription drug availability,
and provider network.

that is appropriate to their respective responsibilities or possess
equivalent experience.

THE IDEAL
CANDIDATE

Possesses strong analytical, project management, financial management,
and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated experience in policy
analysis and development. A collaborative and effective manager with
excellent written communication and public speaking abilities. Known
for strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to thrive
in fast-paced environments while managing multiple complex priorities.
Highly detail-oriented with a proven track record of meeting tight
deadlines and delivering high-quality results under pressure.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Ensures a high level of budgetary responsibility and accountability while
overseeing the timely and accurate preparation of PEBP financial statements.
Implements financially sound benefit rates in alignment with PEBP Board
Policy and works to maximize the accuracy of billed premiums and receivable
collections. Maintains positive cash balances in both the Treasurer fund and
claims checking account. Identifies and documents efficient operational
procedures within the Accounting unit and provides effective supervision of
staff in accordance with Division of Human Resource Management rules and
PEBP policies. Fulfills additional responsibilities as assigned by the PEBP
Executive Officer and consistently upholds a high standard of conduct both
in the workplace and while representing the agency.
