The Office of Workforce and Community Initiatives (OWCI) is seeking candidates to fill a Research/Data Analyst in the position located in Cole County based at 3705 MO Blvd 2 nd Floor, Jefferson City, MO.).
Remote or hybrid is not an option.The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: A ddressing, understanding, and managing MAGI related data including using CURRENT and reports from MEDES. This position will work with other Data Analyst from other divisions or with contractors to create re-occurring and ad-hoc reports and analysis of MAGI data as needed. This position is focused finding unbiased outcomes through current Data Analysis techniques.
- Assist in reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness and operational management of the MAGI related data.
- Prepare detailed statistical reports to create tables, charts, and narratives using data software such as MS Office products, Tableau, Python , and/or other data analysis tools as required.
- Recommend or assist in formulating recommendations for improved organizational structure, policies, techniques, methods, systems, and procedures designed to meet program outcomes.
- Review and evaluate legislation for impact on agency operations; provide analysis; and recommend strategies to effectively initiate approved changes.
- Provide technical advice on management systems and techniques to administrative personnel.
- Perform duties in accordance with supervisor direction and established policies and procedures at all times. Complete assigned tasks in an accurate, timely, professional and confidential manner.
Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience and/or appropriate certification. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Preferred Experience: Preference will be given to those with experience in data cleaning; Python Coding, Statistics or other related mathematics, or previous experience with manipulating large datasetsLack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
