Position: Assistant Professor of Marketing
Effective Date: August 17, 2026 (Fall Semester)
Salary Range: The Assistant Professor AY 2025-26 classification salary is $74,652 to $158,688/year $6,221 to $13,224/per month (12 monthly payments per academic year). The anticipated hiring range is $131,000 to $141,000/per year, $10,916 to $11,750/per month. Salary offered is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Department of Marketing in the College of Business at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) invites applications for the tenure-track Assistant Professor position to start in Fall 2026. This position is targeted toward consumer behavior.
Required Qualifications: - Ph.D. or DBA in Marketing or a closely related field. Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree from AACSB accredited or equivalent schools by August 1, 2026.
- Demonstrated potential for effectiveness and excellence in teaching marketing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Demonstrated potential for research, scholarly and creative activities in consumer behavior and its marketing applications leading to publications
- Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population, including low socioeconomic and first-generation students
Preferred Qualifications: - Peer-reviewed articles published or under review in high-quality academic journals in consumer behavior or closely related fields
- Evidence of effective teaching experience in Marketing or a closely related field at undergradulate and/or graduate level
- Demonstrated commitment to service contributions to the department/college/university, and community
- Experience mentoring or supporting students with minoritized identities or experience using inclusive and culturally relevant teaching strategies in a diverse classroom
Duties: - Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in various areas of Marketing [Mode of instruction may include in-person, hybrid, online, and/or any combination thereof.]
- Engage in research, scholarly and creative activities leading to publications and presentations in Marketing and related fields
- Participate in curriculum and program development and keep content current in various areas of Marketing
- Participate in service to the school, college, university, and profession/community
