    The Role at a Glance

    The Infrastructure and Safety Training Institute (ITSI) Program Director serves as a key member of the Division’s senior leadership team. Responsible for working with the assigned operational program’s leadership staff to ensure all aspects of its operations are reliable, consistent, are aligned with division and Agency’s strategic plan, and follow all applicable laws and requirements. Oversees the development strategies for the division, assists in maintaining current business relationships while also acquiring new business opportunities, and performs cost analysis to ensure projects are within specified funding parameters. In addition, as a member of the division’s senior leadership team, the program director may at times be called upon to serve as an official representative in divisional manners. This position will be located in either Mesquite, Texas or San Antonio, Texas.

    The Program Director reports to the Associate Division Director.

    Qualifications of the Role
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ten years of related experience in project coordination and/or training delivery.
    • Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.


    Equivalency: Will consider an associate’s degree in a related field with twelve years of project coordination and/or delivery of training related experience or a high school diploma/GED with fourteen years of EHS and/or OSHA related experience.

Hosting services for online courses, technical assistance and technology validation, and bilingual training and translation services also are available.

    By placing safety and well-being above all and by focusing on prevention and response, TEEX has become a comprehensive training provider through more than 80 years of extension training. Working with other agencies and encouraging involvement has led to better fire safety and emergency response, cleaner drinking water, better roads and infrastructure, improved homeland security, safer workplaces, heightened public safety and security, new therapeutics manufacturing and the evolution of cybersecurity.
