The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your payche ck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- Provide guidance to the Chief Financial Officer on financial decisions
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs; interpret federal, state, and local legal standards pertaining to fiscal operations; and remain knowledgeable about existing, new, and future regulations
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines for management of funds
- Lead department fiscal operations to ensure proper internal controls for the receipt of revenue and expenditures
- Oversee and support the accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity
- Supervise the grants and funds accounting and financial reporting units
- Lead MOVERS integration efforts for the Department
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in accounting, required
- Master's degree in accounting, highly preferred
- Certified Public Accountant and/or Certified Grants Management Specialist certificate, highly preferred
- 7-10 years professional accounting experience, required
