Job Location: This position will be located at 149 Park Central Square, Suite 116, Springfield, MO. This position is not eligible for remote work.

    Why you’ll love this position:

If you enjoy problem solving, working with data and hard facts, providing education to others, building and fostering relationships with internal and external partners, then this is the job for you. The Bureau's mission is to stop the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases by providing vaccines to children, adolescents and adults who cannot pay for them through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) and Vaccines for Adults (VFA) programs. In this position you will be primarily working with medical providers to assist them in identifying activities and changes in clinic flow that will increase their immunization rates for all populations.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

    • Travel to medical providers offices who are enrolled in the VFC/VFA programs to conduct quality improvement visits.
    • Gather immunization data to present at provider visits
    • Conduct indepth discussions with healthcare providers and their staff regarding how their clinic works.
    • Educate healthcare providers on strategies to increase immunization rates in their offices for children, adolescents and adults.
    • Follow-up with providers at regular intervals and assist them with questions and challenges in activities to increase immunization rates in their clinic.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
    • Strong critical thinking and leadership skills, a high level of commitment and the ability to work as a team.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills, along with the ability to be flexible and work independently with minimal level of supervision.
    • Experience in public health and immunizations required.
    • Experience in project/case management is desired.
    • A valid driver's license as extensive travel is required.
    • Experience in a clinic setting is desired

Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
