The Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) is seeking to fill a Guardianship Coordinator position.
The base salary offered for this position is up to $80,496.00 annually, commensurate with education and experience. If the selected candidate is eligible for a pay differential, such as retention pay, the total salary may exceed what is listed in this posting.
The DMH Guardianship Coordinator will be responsible for completing DMH guardianship packets for clients that are not able to be restored to competence, testifying in guardianship proceedings, providing training on the completion of guardianship packets, and assisting the DMH Office of General Counsel with guardianship matters. This position will also ensure DMH staff and DMH provider staff are appropriately trained on guardianship matters and the completion of court required paperwork.
The individual in this position will work with DBH - Forensic Services, including but not limited to the Director of Forensic Services, Forensic Mobile Teams, and with long-term psychiatric facilities. Assignments may be issued by DBH and DD leadership, and this position will be supervised by the Director of Forensic Services and shall participate in monthly supervision
The ideal candidate must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) without a history of disciplinary action. The candidate shall have knowledge of behavioral health conditions and developmental disabilities, DMH Forensic Services, relevant statutes, guardianship processes and interrogatories. The individual selected for this position shall have strong organizational skills, time management, as well as strong written and verbal communication. Desirable qualifications include being self-motivated, having an ability to work independently and with other team members with limited day to day supervision; and having experience interviewing clients, writing reports, and testifying. The selected candidate should be comfortable working with forensic clients, working in jail settings, and forensic psychiatric facilities.
Candidate must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with at least 3 years post-degree professional casework experience in clinical social work. The selected candidate shall have maintained their licensure and have no history of disciplinary actions.
