MISSION STATEMENT:
To protect and safeguard the public by licensing and disciplining Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine,
Physician Assistants and Anesthesiologist Assistants.
The Nevada State Board of Osteopathic Medicine ("the
Board") is seeking a Complaints Specialist/Investigator.
Responsibilities include processing complaints and reports received,
investigating alleged violations of statutes and regulations, and
preparing case files and reports of investigations. The position also
requires gathering and preserving evidence, obtaining statements
from complainants, respondents, and witnesses, and preparing and
serving subpoenas for witness appearances or production of records, as
well as serving orders of the Board. The Complaints
Specialist/Investigator will provide testimony at administrative
hearings and civil or criminal court proceedings, give regular case
briefings to the Executive Director, and attend meetings as necessary.
Additional duties include maintaining and prioritizing an investigative
caseload and performing other work as directed or assigned.

This position announcement lists the major duties and

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
This position processes complaints/reports received
regarding licensees and investigates all complaints and
information alleging violations of Chapter 633 of the
Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) and the Nevada
Administrative Code (NAC).

Salary:
Salary range for this position is:
$25.00 per hour to $31.25 per hour (DOE)
on the Employer Paid Retirement schedule.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Government, Healthcare, or other
related field and two (2) years investigative experience with a NV Board,
law enforcement agency, or insurance company; Associates Degree with
acceptable experience may also be considered.
Hold or be able to acquire a valid Nevada driver's license.
