- High School Diploma or G.E.D and a minimum of two (2) years public safety dispatch experience.
- Must possess and maintain certification as a Certified Training Officer, or the ability to obtain in 6 months.
- Must possess and maintain certification as an Emergency Medical Dispatch Quality Assurance (EMDQ), or the ability to obtain it in 6 months.
- Must possess and maintain Texas Law Enforcement Dispatch Certification, TCIC/NCIC, NLETS/TLETS, SOLACOM 9-1-1 Equipment, and TTY certifications.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and/or post-offer physical exam.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
Under general supervision of the Communications Supervisor, trains and evaluates probationary employees to ensure they are proficient in their role. Provides leadership, mentoring, performance feedback and guidance to support professional development. Monitor and ensure adherence to establish procedures in responses for Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Asist in the development and implementation of training programs. Provides support to the police, fire, and citizens.
