The Role: The Compensation Analyst supports the Authority’s total compensation and performance programs by preparing job descriptions, evaluating base pay for new and existing roles, and recommending decisions aligned with the Authority’s compensation philosophy. This role makes recommendations to enhance total rewards and ensure pay practices and performance systems are fair, competitive, and aligned with the Authority’s vision, mission, and values.

Manage Compensation Strategy and Structure
- Write and revise job descriptions using standard templates and tools. Make recommendations to improve templates and tools as needed. Determine job grades using internal and external data.
- Review and recommend pay for job offers. Implement and participate in the planning of annual pay increases and market adjustments.
- Assist with compensation-related projects, including implementation of bargaining agreements and other Authority-wide initiatives.
- Maintain accurate compensation, classification, and performance data in HR systems to support consistency and legal compliance.
- Collect market and internal data, conduct pay analyses, and prepare reports for leadership decision-making.
Performance Management and Support
- Administer monthly bargaining unit evaluations, annual performance reviews, and related processes. Track outcomes and recommend improvements.
- Support managers and Ambassadors by explaining pay and performance policies, answering questions, and ensuring programs are understood and applied consistently.
What We’re Looking For:- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field preferred; high school diploma required.
- Professional certification, such as Certified Compensation Professional, PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in compensation analysis, job classification, and performance management programs.
- Proficiency with job classification and analysis, writing job descriptions, compensation benchmarking, and HRIS or talent management systems.
- Knowledge of employment laws, labor agreements, and compensation compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to clearly present data, insights, and recommendations to leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to Ambassadors and managers with professionalism and empathy.
- Inclusive mindset with a commitment to valuing differences and fostering collaboration.
- Strong strategic perspective, clear communication style, and sound judgment.
- Energetic self-starter with a strong work ethic and flexibility to attend off-site events as needed.
