Program Coordinator - Child Care Subsidy

Please note: The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years-of-service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed salary range listed above.

Job Location: This position can be remote or located at 205 Jefferson Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101. This position will require travel to Jefferson City, Kansas City, and Hillsboro, MO. Additional statewide travel for training is also required.

The Child Care Subsidy Program increases children's access to early learning by assisting eligible parents/guardians with payments for child care in Missouri. The purpose of this program is to not only ensure children have access to early childhood programs, but also to help families with the cost of child care so they are able to focus on finding and holding steady jobs and/or are able to attend school and training programs.

• Supervise staff who provide training and technical assistance on the child care data system and call center.
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of requirements and procedures related to the child care data system and call center.
• Oversee contracts for vendors operating systems used in the Child Care Subsidy section.
• Ensure system functioning aligns with all federal and state statutes, rules, and regulations.
• Design, run, and analyze reports for various subsidy operations.
• Analyze data and provide program improvement recommendations to office leadership.
• Provide training for the Child Care Subsidy section on system requirements.
• Participate in stakeholder engagement activities related to the child care subsidy program.
• Stay up-to-date with federal and state requirements related to the child care subsidy program.
• Ability to perform and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate and express ideas effectively, orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Department staff and other state and local agencies.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective time management skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Assist the Administrator with research related to the Child Care Subsidy program.
• Assist with the maintenance of policies and procedures related to the Child Care Subsidy section.
• Serve as backup for the Program Manager of the Child Care Subsidy section, when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in business, education, family/social/human services, or other related area; with one or more years in a leadership or supervisory position.

OR

• Five or more years of professional or technical experience in administration, education, human services, or a related field, or other experience that contributes directly to the understanding of activities of this assignment; with one or more years in a leadership or supervisory position.
