POSITION SUMMARYThe Development Services Development is seeking a part-time Facilities Worker.We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Facility Worker / Janitorial Staff Member to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, and can work independently during evening hours.
The schedule is Monday - Thursday from 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM and flexible hours on Sunday. This is an "at-will" position up to 32 hours weekly and is not subject to Civil Service Rules or any collective bargaining agreement.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSEssential functions are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Key Responsibilities:
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, common areas, and other facility spaces
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust as needed
• Empty trash and recycling containers
• Refill supplies (paper products, soap, etc.)
• Perform routine facility upkeep and report maintenance issues
• Follow safety and cleaning protocols
• Assist with basic facility setup tasks as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS, PREFERENCES & WORK ENVIRONMENT MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalentAbility to work independently and manage time effectively Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Ability to assemble office furniture such as chairs, desks, and other office furnishings
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous janitorial or custodial experience
