    The Missouri Department of Public Safety-Office of the Director administers and provides oversight for multiple grants in support of our mission.     Job Description:

    Grant administration, monitoring and technical assistance for projects and subrecipients to ensure compliance with all state and federal requirements and program guidelines

    • Provide technical support to grant subrecipients, including interpretation, explanation, and application of state and federal statutes, rules, and guidelines
    • Review reimbursement requests; approve fund releases
    • Review project status reports and review, analyze, and assist with performance measurement data to ensure effective program operations and outcomes
    • Maintain knowledge of state and federal requirements to provide internal compliance and policy support to teammates
    • Conduct internal and external monitoring of grant programs and functions, and prepare detailed reports as requested
    • Exercise a high degree of initiative and judgment in the performance of assigned responsibilities
    • Perform other related work as assigned


    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Experience with state and/or federal program administration and compliance highly preferred
    • Very organized; skilled in project management basics
    • Strong inter-personal communicator
    • Strong writing abilities, including the preparation of complete and concise reports
    • Strong computer software skills including MS products like Excel, Word, & Outlook, project management software, and online grant management tools
    • Ability to travel in support of projects and project monitoring


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in accounting; economics; business, nonprofit, or public administration; or a closely related area. (Professional experience in these areas may substitute for education on a year for year basis.)

    The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
