    Job Description

    Job Summary:

    Provides front-facing and first-point of contact customer service for the Airport. Responsible for supporting the Airport by fulfilling administrative, organizational, and operational responsibilities for the Airport Director and Airport staff. Under the general direction and guidance of the Airport Operations and Maintenance Manager, the Administrative Support II is responsible for working collaboratively in supporting airport management, safety and security, customer service and general office work. The work performed includes but is not limited to administrative assistant duties, office inventory and airport user intake. The Administrative Support II will work to promote a positive work environment through adhering to high ethical standards, promoting the airport norms and values, policies, procedures, cooperation, teamwork, and leading by example.

    The salary range for this position is $22.66- $31.73 per hour with a hiring range of $22.66 - $27.19, depending on qualifications and experience. This opportunity will be available to applicants until May 21, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. M.S.T.

    Northern Colorado Regional Airport is a part 139 certificated airport and is the 5 th busiest airport in Colorado with exciting growth opportunities in its future. The airport is investing heavily in its infrastructure to include a new terminal building and a runway widening project slated for 2026 with the intent of drawing scheduled commercial service. The Airport is currently seeking a goal-oriented person with attention to detail to join its team as an Administrative Support II.

    Essential Functions:
    • Answer phone inquiries from the public and other City Departments.
    • Respond to the public regarding inquiries or complaints.
    • Research reported activities associated with complaints and log reports.
    • Compose and edit written correspondence, coordinate meetings, and explain policies and procedures to customers and staff.
    • Maintain compliance through efficient entry and records maintenance of airport access control systems.
    • Maintain accurate filing and organization of records focused on airport security badging and processing.
    • Perform research, generate reports, and distribute information.
    • Maintain security files in compliance with records retention policies.
    • Promote effective administrative procedures for the department.

    Other Job Functions:
    • Assist with submittal of City Council and Northern Colorado Regional Airport Commission correspondence and information with staff and the Cities.
    • Assist with marketing and event coordination.
    • Resolve conflicts independently and professionally.
    • Understand procurement and finance methods including purchase orders, vouchers, check requests, reports, payroll, and purchasing card transactions.
    • Assist with Airport safety management.
    • Assist with preparing information and presentations for public meetings.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education:
    • Required: High School or GED.

    Experience:
    • Required: 2 Years progressively responsible administrative experience, working with MS Word and Excel.
    • Required: Experience in a high-volume office and extensive public contact

    Certifications:
    • Must possess a valid Driver's License.

    Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
    • Frequent: Minimal physical effort typically found in clerical work. Primarily sedentary, may occasionally lift and carry light objects. Walking and/or standing as needed and minimal
    • Occasional: Light to moderate physical effort that includes frequent standing or walking or maintaining arms and hands in the same position for repetitive tasks. Frequently works with light objects and light hand tools.
    • Occasional: Moderate to considerable physical effort that includes working from ladders in awkward positions. Frequent use of light or medium weight objects (e.g., 25-50 lbs) and use of medium weight tools.

    Working Environment:
    • Frequent: Exposure to routine office noise and equipment.
    • Occasional: Exposure to hazards typically found in general office environments where there is rarely to no exposure to injury or accident.
    • Occasional: Exposure to hazards that are predictable or well protected against.
